As of this Wednesday afternoon, more than 1,300 A&M-Central Texas students have registered for Summer 2025 courses, choosing from three flexible summer formats of five-week, eight-week, and ten-week semesters that begin June 2nd.
Enrollment at the university has been growing steadily over the past two years among its undergraduate and graduate degree programs, with significant growth reflected in the university’s graduate programs and all three colleges.
Summer semesters offer an opportunity for some students to get a jump on the upcoming Fall 2025 semester or, university officials add, a chance to maintain the momentum from the spring.
“What we know about our students is that they are definitely not a ‘one size fits all’ population,” said Hannah McDonald, University Registrar. “That is why we created summer terms of different lengths, so that there would be a way to allow our student a lot of options.”
Registration for Summer 2025 continues throughout June and July with registration through June 6th, explained McDonald, emphasizing that summer semester courses start and finish on an accelerated pace compared to the traditional 16-week terms.
