How to Register for a TExES Exam

Once an account has been established with the State Board for Educator Certification/Texas Education Agency the next step in registering for the appropriate TExES exam can be completed at the Texas Educator Certification Examination Program
1. Go to http://www.tx.nesinc.com/
- Click on the "Register Now" link then click “Create an account now”

In the Pearson system, registering for an exam is separate from scheduling your test appointment.
· Before registering for your exam use the seat availability tool to confirm available appointments in locations and on dates and times that are convenient for you
· You may reschedule or cancel your testing appointment without fees, up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment date
· You must schedule your appointment within 14 days of notification of approval from the Certification Testing
· If you cancel or withdraw your registration a $25 fee forTex.gov fee will be deducted from your exam registration fee.
