Texas A&M University-Central Texas’ Inaugural Summit on Sustainability

Bill Yowell Conference Center, Warrior Hall

March 21st and 22nd, 2019 in Killeen, Texas

The inaugural theme of “Leading the ‘One Planet’ Way” references a major strategic initiative embraced by the A&M Central Texas College of Business Administration: embed sustainability into the curriculum through the newly launched M.S. in One Planet Leadership. The One Planet Education Network is a consortium of business schools committed to a purposeful curriculum that embeds sustainability and social responsibility into programmatic offerings, teaching, service, and scholarship, as well as the practices of their respective institutions. The SUSTEX Summit program features respected thought leaders and sustainability advocates including:

Thomas Jelley, corporate vice president and former city of London corporate lawyer turned responsible business changer maker, now residing in Helsinki, Finland.

Tony Cooke, Serial Entrepreneur and CEO of OPEN.

Dale Ross, Mayor of Georgetown, TX – Appeared on NPR, MSNBC, and the BBC to name a few.

Building on our relationship with the OPEN network, we invite leaders from the private sector, government, and academia to participate on our picturesque campus. SUSTEX provides participants with a unique, personalized environment and encourages thoughtful dialogue and reflection regarding the challenges and successes of sustainability business practices and education.
