Texas A&M University System
The Office of Proposal Development maintains lists of funding opportunities from both public and private sources. Scroll down to the section for External Funding; the other resources listed are just for A&M College Station faculty and staff.
Private Funding – Foundations
The Foundation Center provides information about recent foundation Requests for Proposals (RFP), as well as free minimal high level information about foundations nationwide. Access to detailed information about a specific foundation is available by paid subscription.
Science
- American Association for the Advancement of Science
- The National Science Foundation funds research projects in the biological, physical and social sciences.
Texas State Government
- Post-Secondary Education. The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board funds research studying post-secondary education, bridge programs to prepare students for post-secondary education, pilot tests and implementations of innovative educational approaches, and other research and service programs. (On the THECB home page, scroll down to “Research and Project Grants” on the left-side menu.)
- The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) primarily funds biological and environmental research.
- The Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA) subsidizes the cost of community arts activities.
- The Texas Department of State Health Services
Federal Government
- Grants.gov provides information about all federal grant opportunities. The database is searchable by federal agency, CFDA number, project number and keywords. Grants.gov allows you to sign up to receive RSS feed updates as grant programs are announced.
- The Federal Grants Wire is a free online listing of federal opportunities, including grants. Available programs are organized by subject area, agency, applicant type, and name.
- The National Science Foundation funds research projects in the biological, physical and social sciences.
