A&M University-Central Texas expands weekday service at Fort Hood

Communications Coordinator –

Texas A&M University-Central Texas has expanded its Fort Hood Education Center office to a five-day schedule beginning Sept. 8, giving prospective and current students consistent on-post access to recruitment information, education-benefit processing and help resolving university-related issues.
The office is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday inside the CSM Walter W. Krueger Soldier Development Center, Building 33009, 761st Tank Battalion Ave. It previously operated with limited hours and rotating staff.
“It reduces the barrier of traveling to campus, especially if they are trying to do things during their lunch or downtime,” said James Dalton, director of Military and Veteran Services.
The expanded schedule provides a regular point of contact between A&M-Central Texas and Fort Hood education counselors to coordinate tuition-assistance processing and address questions about Army ROTC’s Green to Gold program.
The office welcomes walk-ins and offers appointments. For more information or assistance, call (254) 519-5423, email [email protected], or visit https://www.tamuct.edu/mvs-team-contact-us/.
