By Demetra Paizanis,
Enrollment Marketing and Communications Manager –

Texas A&M University-Central Texas will host an Enchanted Rock hiking trip Friday, Nov. 6, for students, faculty and staff. Lunch and transportation are included in the registration fee.
Trip leaders will choose a route with participants based on their fitness levels and comfort. Participants can expect to hike on rocky terrain to the summit and explore the areas at the top. The hike does not involve climbing with ropes or harnesses.
“Enchanted Rock is fun, pretty, and close enough for an easy day trip,” said Jeremy Absire Sr., associate director of Campus Recreation.
Participants should wear clothing suited to outdoor recreation and the forecast. Bringing a daypack and a container for water is recommended.
Advanced registration is required by Oct. 30 at the Fitness Center in Heritage Hall. The cost is $20 for Campus Recreation members and $40 for nonmembers. Meeting and transportation details are available from the Fitness Center front desk when registering. For more information, email [email protected] or call (254) 519-8614.
