About Us – What we do!

The Division of Research and Innovation works to support university researchers at all levels by providing a variety of resources and expertise to promote university research and sponsored programs.

Scholarships and Grants for Research, Assistance for Research Collaboration

We provide comprehensive support for faculty, staff, and student scholarships by offering connections to TAMU Sponsored Research Services (SRS) for grant application assistance and the Texas Engineering Experiment Station for research collaboration. We also oversee human subjects research through the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and work with biological materials through the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), ensuring compliance and financial monitoring with the MAESTRO project management system.

UCARE: Faculty and Staff Opportunities to Work on Research and Mentor

We oversee the University Center for Applied Research and Engagement (UCARE), which provides faculty and staff opportunities to work on research with local, state, and national governments and nonprofit organizations and to mentor graduate and undergraduate students. Information is available through our office on the IRB, IACUC, IBC, FCOI, MAESTRO, SRS, UCARE, and FAQ support for research questions.

Sponsored Research Services (SRS)

Texas A&M University System (TAMUS)

Texas A&M University – Sponsored Research Services (SRS): All pre- and post-award services are provided by Texas A&M University Sponsored Research Services (SRS) and we assist university personnel in submitting proposals for external funding before they are submitted to SRS. More information about pre- and post-award support from SRS can be found on the TAMUS SRS Website.

We maintain the university’s research funding and administration databases; so far for Academic Year sponsors have committed nearly $4.3 million in grant and contract funds to A&M Central Texas researchers among the three colleges and graduate school, the library, and the University Center for Applied Research and Engagement.
