Amanda Allen Profile

Dr. Amanda Allen is an associate professor at Texas A&M University-Central Texas in Killeen, Texas. She earned her EdD in Special Education at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She has taught children and adults with various disabilities at the kindergarten through the university levels. Her focus began with students with emotional disturbances at levels K-12. However, when she began teaching in the post-secondary world, she saw the transition needs of students with all disabilities. The transition to and in the university and courses is now Dr. Allen’s concentration. She currently teaches special education and professional development courses in the teacher education program.
