Texas A&M University-Central Texas Hosts Discussion on AI and Personal Data
By Demetra Paizanis,
Enrollment Marketing and Communications Manager –

Texas A&M University-Central Texas will host a free, interactive discussion about information shared with artificial intelligence tools from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, in the Bill Yowell Conference Center in Warrior Hall.
Sponsored by the College of Business Administration, Sunme Lee, an assistant professor of marketing, will host Abdul B. Subhani, founder and CEO of Centex Technologies, for “You Told AI What? What Happens to Your Data After You Hit Enter.”
The discussion will examine what people should consider before sharing prompts, documents or personal information with AI services and when to question the advice those services provide. Examples include using AI to revise a resume, work on an assignment or answer a personal question. Lee encourages users to ask themselves one question before sharing information.
“Does this AI tool need this information to help me, and am I comfortable with how it may be stored, accessed, or used?” she said.
The program is open to the public and includes audience questions, networking and refreshments.
Walk-ins are welcome, but organizers strongly encourage RSVPs by Oct. 28 to help plan seating and refreshments. Register at https://forms/cloud.microsoft/r/xueKkFZXtP. For more information, contact Lee at [email protected].
