Dr. Jenn Moore is an Assistant Professor in the CACREP accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and is currently facilitating the TEA accredited School Counseling Certification Preparation at Texas A&M University–Central Texas. Additionally, she is the advisor for school counseling certification preparation and clinical mental health counseling students.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, a Master of Education in School Counseling from Texas A&M University–Central Texas in Killeen, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education & Supervision from Capella University in Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Moore is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified School Counselor in the state of Texas.

Dr. Moore has worked in the education field for the past 13 years working at all levels of education. With a background in teaching middle school and school counseling at both the elementary and high school levels, Dr. Moore now teaches graduate-level courses. Additionally, Dr. Moore has maintained a clinical license since 2017 working with individuals, couples, and family clients ages 4-65, including working in schools as a school-based therapist. She has been working with graduate students in counseling since 2022 teaching courses related to both clinical mental health and school counseling. She currently teaches courses in school counseling, career counseling, theories, psychopathology, and mental health internships. Dr. Moore is an LPC-S and works with LPC Associates as they pursue full licensure through her private practice as well.

Dr. Moore’s research interests include:

• school counseling,
• executive functioning,
• trauma counseling,
• spirituality in counseling, and
• counselor education.
