Lisa Miles Bunkowski serves as the Director of the Center for Faculty Engagement. She is a tenured Associate Professor in the Higher Education Leadership graduate program. She has completed the ACUE Advanced Certification in the Effective Teaching Practice Framework and is a Quality Matters Certified Master Reviewer.
Dr. Bunkowski earned a bachelor's (Spanish) and master's (History) from Emporia State University, a Ph.D. (History) from the University of Kansas, and an Ed.D. (Educational Leadership) from Lamar University, with an emphasis in global and distance education. Her current research areas include transformative student learning through high-impact practices, and faculty mentoring and development.
