Dr. Calk is an Associate Professor of Accounting and Chair of the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics at Texas A&M University.  Before joining TAMUCT in Fall 2014, he held faculty positions at New Mexico State University and The University of Texas of the Permian Basin.  Dr. Calk teaches primarily in the areas of cost accounting and financial accounting.  He has a variety of publications addressing accounting theory, practice, and pedagogy.  Dr. Calk is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.  He earned a BBA in Accounting and an MBA in Accounting from Angelo State University and a Ph.D. in Accounting from Oklahoma State University.  He serves as the faculty advisor for the Warriors’ Accounting Society at TAMUCT, an adult project leader and member of the advisory board for the Lampasas County 4H Club, and in other church and civic organizations.
