Walter Murphy works in the Division of Research, Economic Development, and Innovation, where he serves as the Empowered Official for export control issues, as the head of the university’s Human Research Protection Program, and as a member of the Core Team for planning for the university research park. He is also the campus liaison for the TAMUS Pathways student research conference, for Texas Undergraduate Research Day, and for the TAMUCT Warrior Week Student Scholars Day. He teaches part-time in the Department of Counseling and Psychology, and his current research relates to cognitive and perceptual psychology and to aspects of virtual/augmented reality in education and research. He is also a Faculty Fellow (and former director) for TAMUCT’s University Center for Applied Research and Engagement (UCARE).
