A&M-Central Texas Hosts Carter BloodCare Blood Drive

KILLEEN, Texas — Texas A&M University-Central Texas will host a Carter BloodCare blood drive from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, in the Bill Yowell Conference Center in Warrior Hall, 1001 Leadership Place.
Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment (https://www.greatpartners.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/173564) in advance, complete Carter BloodCare’s QuickScreen questionnaire (https://qs.carterbloodcare.org/quickscreen/intro) before arriving, and bring a valid photo ID.
Carter BloodCare is a community-based non-profit blood center serving North, Central and East Texas, providing blood and blood components to more than 225 hospitals and medical facilities in more than 55 counties.
Donors are encouraged to drink plenty of water before donating and eat a balanced meal about two hours before their appointment. To donate, individuals generally must be in good health, be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and feel well on the day of donation. Sixteen-year-old donors must have a signed parental consent form.
Donors at July and August Carter BloodCare drives may receive a stainless-steel canteen while supplies last.
