Community Engagement
Partner with us! Collaboration opportunities…Grow With Us!
At Texas A&M University–Central Texas, Community Engagement is how we turn relationships into opportunity—for students, partners, and the region we serve. Through strategic outreach and collaboration, University Relations connects the university with employers, alumni, government agencies, schools, nonprofits, and community leaders to strengthen workforce pipelines, expand experiential learning, and support long-term institutional growth.
Connecting the University to the Region
University Relations serves as the university’s business development and partnership office building bridges between TAMUCT and the broader community. We cultivate relationships that elevate the university’s visibility, strengthen trust, and create shared value across Central Texas.
Our work supports TAMUCT’s mission by helping partners engage with the university’s expertise, talent, and resources while ensuring opportunities align with institutional priorities.
Partnerships That Create Student Opportunity
Strong partnerships lead to meaningful student outcomes. University Relations works with regional employers and industry partners to expand connections that support:
- Internships and experiential learning opportunities
- Industry-informed programming and collaboration
- Job placement pipelines aligned with regional needs
By focusing on industries that match TAMUCT academic strengths and economic priorities, we help create practical pathways from classroom to career.

Strategic Outreach and Community Presence
We build relationships through intentional engagement and well-planned outreach that keeps TAMUCT visible, accessible, and connected. University Relations regularly hosts and participates in:
- Community events and public programs
- Career fairs and student recruitment outreach
- Industry roundtables and employer engagement
- Alumni gatherings and stakeholder events
These efforts promote TAMUCT’s impact, strengthen the university’s regional role, and open doors for new collaboration.

Alumni and Philanthropic Connections
Community engagement also means lifelong connection. University Relations administers the Alumni Association to strengthen alumni involvement and build a culture of pride, participation, and support. We also oversee the University Foundation, ensuring that philanthropic giving aligns with academic priorities and workforce development goals.
Together, these efforts help expand scholarships, support student success, and increase institutional capacity.
Collaboration Starts Here
When faculty or staff engage with potential external partners, coordination with University Relations is essential. Partner engagement works best when the university speaks with one voice and connects opportunities to the right people and priorities.
Working with University Relations helps:
- Ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment
- Prevent duplicated outreach or competing conversations
- Match opportunities with institutional strategy
- Leverage established networks to accelerate progress
If you’re exploring a new partnership, we can help you navigate next steps and maximize impact.
Community Events with Purpose
A key strategy of University Relations is to create events that invite the community to engage with TAMUCT in meaningful ways—through professional development, educational programming, and experiences that showcase university strengths.
Many of these initiatives also generate revenue that supports scholarships and special institutional priorities, strengthening TAMUCT’s ability to serve students and the region.
Let’s Build Something Together
