Texas A&M University-Central Texas hosts Midday Muse painting event

An adult woman engaged in a painting session at an art workshop with easels and paint.

Texas A&M University-Central Texas will host Midday Muse, a free, self-paced painting event for students, faculty and staff, from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, in the Library Lounge.

Participants can choose from a variety of pre-drawn canvas designs and work at their own pace. Paint, brushes, aprons and other materials will be provided, and attendees may take their finished paintings home. No previous painting experience is required.

“Our students work hard and sometimes they need a break,” said Kelly Williams, reference and instruction librarian.

Supplies will be held for registered participants during the first 30 minutes, after which unclaimed materials will be released on a first-come, first-served basis.
