Texas A&M University – Central Texas offers a variety of merit and need-based scholarship opportunities to support students in pursuit of their education. With the support of the TAMUCT Foundation & generous donors, the scholarship program at TAMUCT continues to grow.
Scholarship Portal
To be considered for scholarship opportunities at TAMUCT, students are only required to submit one general scholarship application and essay via the TAMUCT Scholarship Portal. Scholarships are awarded for academic ability & achievement, demonstrated leadership, extracurricular activities, financial need and other criteria as defined by specific scholarship programs. Unlike most institutions, TAMUCT offers unique scholarship opportunities each semester so, please pay close attention to the scholarship application submission deadlines associated with each academic semester.
Scholarship Deadlines
After you have been admitted to Texas A&M University—Central Texas, you may apply for scholarships by completing a general scholarship application via the TAMUCT Scholarship Portal.

In order to be reconsidered for all available scholarship opportunities each academic semester (i.e., fall / spring / summer), you will also be required to reactivate your general application each semester in accordance to the above dates. Each semester, you will receive email notification (@myct.edu) instructing you to log in to your Scholarship Portal to reactivate your general application.
How to Apply for TAMUCT Scholarships
To be considered for scholarship opportunities, students must establish a profile within the TAMUCT Scholarship Portal and complete (at a minimum) the general application. Scholarships are awarded for academic ability & achievement, demonstrated leadership, extracurricular activities, financial need and other criteria as defined by specific scholarship programs. Any student receiving institutional scholarships valued at $6,000 or more during a single aid year is generally not eligible for other institutional scholarships. Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee receipt of a scholarship.
When establishing a profile within the TAMUCT Scholarship Portal, it is important to:
- Please sign in using your MyCT Username and password
- Log in regularly to check for awards and new opportunities. You will also be notified via email if you are selected to receive a scholarship.
- Each semester, you will also receive an email notification instructing you to log in to your Scholarship Portal to reactivate your general application. This is important. You must reactivate your general application each semester in order to be reconsidered for available scholarship opportunities each semester.
- To reactivate your general application:
- Log in to the TAMUCT Scholarship Portal.
- Review your General Information and update, if necessary.
- Click Finish and Continue.
- Already see a green check mark? If so, then you're good to go!
Scholarship FAQs
How do I apply for more than one scholarship at A&M - Central Texas?
TAMUCT has one application for all scholarships. Scholarship applications are sent to the various scholarship committees based on the information provided on the application.
Is there a limit on much scholarship awards I can receive at A&M - Central Texas?
Any student receiving institutional scholarships valued at $6,000 or more is generally not eligible for other institutional scholarships.
How are scholarships awarded at A&M - Central Texas?
Scholarships are awarded for academic ability and achievement, demonstrated leadership, extracurricular activities, financial need, and other criteria as defined by specific scholarship programs.
Is an essay needed for a scholarship at A&M - Central Texas?
An essay is not mandatory but will increase the possibility of your being selected for a scholarship award.
Can I still apply for scholarships if I missed the priority deadline?
Scholarship applications are accepted throughout the year, but the priority deadlines are listed below.

Requirements: Established in 1999 to honor the career and civic accomplishments of B.M. Beck, the B.M. Beck Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated a commitment to community service which positively impacts a Central Texas community and its citizens. Recipients must maintain enrollment in at least (6) six semester credit hours at A&M-Central Texas and a minimum GPA as follows:
- New Transfer Undergraduate: 2.0 (transfer GPA only)
- New Graduate: 3.0 (last 60 hours)

Cadet Russell Streightiff Army ROTC Endowed Scholarship To List
Requirements: The Cadet Russell Streightiff Army ROTC Endowed Scholarship may be awarded to the number one Senior Army ROTC Cadet and the number one Junior Army ROTC Cadet as determined by A&M-Central Texas ROTC department. Recipients must be fully contracted with the A&M-Central Texas Army ROTC and may not be on probation or suspension with the Army ROTC department or with U.S. Army Cadet Command. Recipients must maintain enrollment in twelve (12) hours as an undergraduate student and nine (9) hours as a graduate student at A&M-Central Texas.

Chaplains Cohort Scholarship To List
Requirements: The Chaplains Cohort Scholarship may be awarded to students participating in the Chaplains cohort program at A&M-Central Texas. Recipients must be enrolled in at least six (6) semester credit hours and maintain an institutional and cumulative GPA of 3.0. Only course required for the program may be considered when determining hours of enrollment.
Value: The value of this award is $500 per semester for each semester in which the recipient is participating the Chaplains Cohort Program.
College of Arts & Science Academic Scholarship To List
Requirements: The College of Arts & Sciences Academic Scholarship is awarded to students of A&M-Central Texas pursuing degree programs within the College of Arts & Sciences. Recipients must be enrolled in at least 6 semester credit hours during the semester awarded and maintain a minimum GPA as follows:
- New Transfer Undergraduate: 3.0 (transfer GPA only)
- New Graduate: 3.0 (last 60 hours)
- Returning/Continuing UG & GR: 3.0 (institutional & cumulative)
Value: The value of this award is $500 per semester and up to $1000 per aid year. This award is forfeited for failure to meet any of the requirements during an award period.

Requirements: The College of Business Administration Academic Scholarship is awarded to students of A&M-Central Texas pursuing degree programs within the College of Business Administration. Recipients must be enrolled in at least 6 semester credit hours during the semester awarded and maintain a minimum GPA as follows:
- New Transfer Undergraduate: 3.0 (transfer GPA only)

Requirements: The College of Business Need Based Scholarship may be awarded to students identified as members of moderate to low income households (based on FAFSA information) as defined by the Community Reinvestment Act and demonstrates community leadership and/or involvement that benefits Texas communities. Recipients must maintain enrollment in nine (9) semester credit hours at A&M-Central Texas and a minimum GPA as follows:
- New Transfer Undergraduate: 2.5 (transfer GPA only)
- New Graduate: 3.25 (last 60 hours)
- Returning/Continuing UG: 2.5 (institutional & cumulative)
- Returning/Continuing GR: 3.25 (institutional & cumulative)

Requirements: The College of Education & Psychology Scholarship is awarded to students of A&M-Central Texas pursuing degree programs within the College of Education & Psychology. Congressman Chet & Lea Ann Edwards Endowed Scholarship To List
In recognition for their dedication and support of the Killeen-Ft. Hood area, the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce established the Congressman Chet and Lea Ann Edwards Endowed Scholarship.
Requirements: The Congressman Chet & Lea Ann Edwards Endowed Scholarship may be awarded to undergraduate students pursuing studies at A&M-Central Texas and who are members of the U.S. Armed Forces or an immediate family member. Recipients must maintain enrollment in at least six (6) semester credit hours at A&M-Central Texas and a minimum GPA as follows:
- New Transfer Undergraduate: 2.75 (transfer GPA only)
- Returning/Continuing UG: 2.75 (institutional & cumulative)

Dr. Michael and Lou Ann McKinney Scholarship To List
Requirements: The Dr. Michael and Lou Ann McKinney Scholarship is awarded to students with demonstrated need (based on FAFSA information) and pursuing degree programs at A&M-Central Texas. Recipients must be enrolled in at least 6 semester credit hours during the semester awarded and maintain a minimum GPA as follows:
- New Transfer Undergraduate: 3.0 (transfer GPA only)
- New Graduate: 3.5 (last 60 hours)
Value: The value of this award is $250 per semester and up to $500 per aid year. This award is forfeited for failure to meet any of the requirements during an award period.
Eagle Warrior Scholarship To List
Requirements: The Eagle Warrior Scholarship may be awarded to Central Texas College students following the approved transfer curriculum, designed to support undergraduate degree programs at A&M-Central Texas. In order to achieve eligibility, the student must meet the following requirements:
- Be a resident of the State of Texas, eligible for in-state tuition
- Be enrolled at Central Texas College or eligible for enrollment no later than Fall 2014, taking a minimum of 12 semester credit hours
- Meet A&M-Central Texas undergraduate admissions requirements by the end of the first year of receipt of scholarship
- Demonstrate financial need and/or FAFSA eligibility
- Be able to demonstrate successful completion of college and/or developmental education.
- Declare major in one of the undergraduate degree programs available at A&M-Central Texas.
Value: The value of this award is up to the value of tuition, fees, and books during an approved semester.
Farm Credit – College of Business Scholarship To List
Requirements: The Farm Credit – College of Business Scholarship is open to students who have demonstrated leadership on the university campus or within the community and majoring in finance, accounting, management, and other degree disciplines within the College of Business. Recipients must maintain enrollment at A&M-Central Texas and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Value: The value of the Farm Credit – College of Business Scholarship may vary depending on available funding. This award is forfeited for failure to meet any of the requirements during an award period.
Four Winds General Endowed Scholarship To List
Requirements: The Four Winds General Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students in pursuit of a degree. Undergraduate recipients must maintain enrollment in at least (9) nine semester credit hours at A&M-Central Texas and a minimum GPA as follows:
- New Transfer Undergraduate: 2.75 (transfer GPA only)

Requirements: The FWIS Warrior Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who are serving on active duty in the U.S. military. Recipients must maintain enrollment in at least (6) six semester credit hours at A&M-Central Texas and a minimum GPA as follows:

Greater Texas Foundation Removing Educational Barriers Scholarship To List
The Greater Texas Foundation Removing Educational Barriers Scholarship was established through a grant from the Greater Texas Foundation to reduce barriers to higher education. The scholarship may be awarded to undergraduate students, with financial need (based on FAFSA information), pursuing programs of study at A&M-Central Texas, with preference given to first generation college students.
Requirements: The Greater Texas Foundation Removing Educational Barriers Scholarship is awarded to students with a 2.0 GPA or higher. Recipients must be enrolled in at least 12 semester credit hours during the semester awarded and maintain a minimum GPA as follows:
- Undergraduate: 2.0
Value: The value of this award is $1000 per semester and up to $2000 per aid year. This award is forfeited for failure to meet any of the requirements during an award period.
Hal Myrah Memorial Endowed Scholarship To List
Requirements: The Hal Myrah Memorial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students pursuing degree programs in business. Students must maintain enrollment in at least (6) six semester credit hours at A&M-Central Texas and a minimum GPA as follows:
- New Transfer Undergraduate: 3.0 (transfer GPA only)
- Returning/Continuing UG: 3.0 (institutional & cumulative)
Value: The value of this award may vary based on available funding. This award is forfeited for failure to meet any of the requirements during an award period.
John & Elizabeth Cheatham Endowed Scholarship To List
Requirements: The John & Elizabeth Cheatham Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in a degree program at A&M-Central Texas in the fields of education, business administration, or computer information systems. Undergraduate recipients must maintain enrollment in at least (9) nine semester credit hours at A&M-Central Texas and a minimum GPA as follows:
- Undergraduate: 2.75 (institutional & cumulative)
Graduate students must maintain enrollment in at least (6) six semester credit hours at A&M-Central Texas and a minimum GPA as follows:
- Graduate: 3.0 (institutional & cumulative)
If all other criteria are equal, financial need will be considered.

John R. Ingram Jr. Scholarship* To List
Requirements: The John R. Ingram Jr. Scholarship may be awarded to A&M-Central Texas undergraduate students majoring in mathematics and pursuing teacher certification. Recipients must maintain enrollment in at least nine (9) semester credit hours at A&M-Central Texas and maintain an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Value: The value of this award may vary based on available funding. This award is forfeited for failure to meet any of the requirements during an award period.
Lieutenant General H.G. "Pete" Taylor Endowed Scholarship To List
Requirements: Transferred from the University of Central Texas, the Lt. General H.G. "Pete" Taylor Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students at A&M-Central Texas seeking teacher certification or studying in the areas of school counseling and education administration. Students must be a member or retiree of the U.S. Armed Forces, a dependent of member or retiree of the U.S. Armed Forces, or employed as a civilian contractor by the Department of Defense. Recipients must maintain enrollment in at least (6) six semester credit hours at A&M-Central Texas and a minimum GPA as follows:
- New Transfer Undergraduate: 2.6 (transfer GPA only)
- New Graduate: 3.0 (last 60 hours)
- Returning/Continuing UG: 2.6 (institutional & cumulative)
- Returning/Continuing GR: 3.0 (institutional & cumulative)
Value: The value of this opportunity may vary based on available funding. This award is forfeited for failure to meet any of the requirements during an award period.
Life's Next Chapter Scholarship To List
Requirements: The Life's Next Chapter Scholarship may be awarded to new graduate students who have a 3.0 GPA on the last 60 hours completed and enroll in at least nine (9) semester credit hours at A&M-Central Texas. Renewal awards may be received for up to five (5) additional semesters (summers optional) provided the recipient maintains enrollment each semester in 9 semester credit hours at A&M-Central Texas and a minimum institutional and cumulative GPA of 3.25.
Value: The maximum value of the award is $4500 available at a rate of $750/semester for 6 consecutive semesters or until graduation (whichever occurs earlier). Students may choose not to attend summer semesters. The scholarship is forfeited for failure to meet requirements during any long semester.
Mary Yeaman Memorial Endowed Scholarship To List
Requirements: The Mary Yeaman Memorial Endowed Scholarship may be awarded to students with demonstrated financial need (based on FAFSA information). Undergraduate recipients must maintain enrollment in at least nine (9) semester credit hours and a minimum GPA as follows:
- New Transfer Undergraduate: 2.5 (transfer GPA only)
- Returning/Continuing UG: 2.5 (institutional & cumulative)
Graduate students must maintain enrollment in at least six (6) semester credit hours and a minimum GPA as follows:
- New Graduate: 3.0 (last 60 hours)
- Returning/Continuing GR: 3.0 (institutional & cumulative)
Value: The value of this award may vary based on available funds. This award is forfeited for failure to meet any of the requirements during an award period.
MBA Cohort Scholarship To List
Requirements: The MBA Cohort Scholarship may be awarded to a graduate student participating in the MBA cohort program. Recipients must maintain enrollment in a minimum of six (6) semester credit hours at A&M–Central Texas and a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Value: The value of this award may vary based on available funds. This award is forfeited for failure to meet any of the requirements during an award period.
Military Service Scholarship To List
Requirements: The Military Service Scholarship may be awarded to A&M-Central Texas students who are or were members of the U.S. Armed Forces (active duty, Reserve, National Guard, retired, Veteran). Recipients must be enrolled in at least 6 semester credit hours during the semester awarded and maintain a minimum GPA as follows:
- New Transfer Undergraduate: 2.5 (transfer GPA only)
- New Graduate: 3.0 (last 60 hours)
- Returning/Continuing UG: 2.5 (institutional & cumulative)
- Returning/Continuing GR: 3.25 (institutional & cumulative)
Value: The maximum value of the award is $300. Recipients may not receive more than one award during each aid year.
Phi Theta Kappa To List
Requirements: The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship is awarded to community college students of A&M-Central Texas who were member of Phi Theta Kappa. Recipients must be enrolled in at least 12 semester credit hours during the semester awarded and maintain a minimum GPA as follows:
- New Transfer Undergraduate: 3.5 (transfer GPA only)
- Completed an associate’s degree or have a minimum of 45 transferable hours
Value: The value of this award is $500 per semester and up to $1000 per aid year. This award is forfeited for failure to meet any of the requirements during an award period.
Presidential Need-Based Scholarship To List
Requirements: The A&M-Central Texas Presidential Need Based Scholarship may be awarded to undergraduate students at A&M–Central Texas seeking their first bachelor's degree. Eligible students must be Texas residents (as determined by the Office of Admissions) and demonstrate financial need (based on FAFSA information). Recipients must be enrolled full-time (Fall/Spring: 12 sch; Summer: 9 sch) during the semester(s) awarded and maintain a minimum GPA as follows:
- New Transfer Undergraduate: 2.5 (transfer GPA only)
- Returning/Continuing UG: 2.5 (institutional & cumulative)
Priority may be given to first generation university attendees.
Value: The value of this award may vary, but not exceed $2000 during a single aid year. This award is forfeited for failure to meet any of the requirements during an award period.
Richard and Marvel Love Scholarship To List
Requirements: The Richard and Marvel Love Scholarship is awarded to students pursuing a degree in Accounting through A&M-Central Texas College of Business. Students must have a 2.0 GPA or higher. Recipients must be enrolled in at least 6 semester credit hours during the semester awarded and maintain a minimum GPA as follows:
- New Transfer Undergraduate: 2.0 (transfer GPA only)
- Returning/Continuing Undergraduate: 3.0 (institutional and cumulative)
- New Graduate: 3.0 (last 60 hours)
Value: The value of this award varies based on funding each year. This award is forfeited for failure to meet any of the requirements during an award period.
ROTC Progression Cadet Scholarship To List
Requirements: The ROTC Progression Cadet may be awarded to a progression cadet enrolled at A&M-Central Texas and participating in ROTC. Recipients must maintain enrollment in a minimum of 9 semester credit hours at A&M-Central Texas and have an initial transfer GPA of 3.0 or higher. Recipients must maintain a minimum institutional and cumulative GPA of 3.0 during subsequent semesters.

Requirements: The Subhani Foundation Scholarship may be awarded through the A&M–Central Texas Office of Student Financial Assistance to an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Information Systems. TAMUCT Achieve Scholarship To List
Requirements: The TAMUCT Achieve Scholarship may be awarded to incoming undergraduate students who are transferring to A&M-Central Texas for their first semester with a minimum 3.0 transfer GPA and enroll in a minimum of 9 semester credit hours at A&M-Central Texas. Renewal awards may be received for up to five (5) additional semesters (summers optional) provided the recipient maintains enrollment each semester in 9 semester credit hours at A&M-Central Texas and a minimum institutional and cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Value: The maximum value of the award is $6000 available at a rate of $1000/semester for 6 consecutive semesters or until graduation (whichever occurs earlier). Requirements: : The Wolf Warrior Scholarship may be awarded to Robert M. Shoemaker High School graduates attending Central Texas College (CTC) and A&M-Central Texas. In order to achieve eligibility, the student must meet the following requirements:
- Be enrolled at Central Texas College, taking a minimum of 12 semester credit hours
- Complete the final two years at A&M-Central Texas with a minimum of 15 semester credit hours
