Dr. Mikhail Kouliavtsev joined the College of Business Administration as Dean in 2026. Previously, he held faculty and administrative appointments at Philadelphia University and Stephen F. Austin State University. He earned an MA and a PhD in Economics from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. His BA in Economics and Mathematics is from Lyon College in Batesville, AR. Dr. Kouliavtsev’s research has been published in many academic journals; he has also engaged with local and regional economic development initiatives. His academic interests lie in the areas of industrial organization, antitrust policy, international trade, and economics of education.
As a dean, Dr. Kouliavtsev is a passionate advocate for serving COBA students and ensuring they are equipped for success, building strong partnerships with the community, and supporting faculty and staff in their work.
