Overview


The Social Work program at Texas A&M University-Central Texas prepares you to pursue a career in child protective, mental health, adoption, geriatric services, and more. In addition, our program also prepares you for the entry level practice of social work. The bachelor’s degree in social work prepares you to become a licensed social worker and provides a strong background for graduate education. Social workers typically hold front-line positions in social welfare agencies that deal with a wide range of social problems.
