Here is some helpful information to keep you in the know about your coverage and requirements as an employee of A&M–Central Texas.Parking
Employees may purchase parking permits for the university for $60 a year. Payroll deductions are available at the beginning of each fiscal year, $30 in September and $30 in October. Rates are prorated if hired after 9/1 and must be paid after the receipt of the first paycheck.
Social Security
All employees are covered by Federal Social Security. The employee’s share of the contribution is withheld by payroll deduction and is deposited along with University’s share into the employee’s account.
Workers’ Compensation
All employees are covered by workers’ compensation insurance for injuries sustained during the performance of duty. Compensation is based on the nature of the injury and the employee’s salary at the time of the injury.
