The Division of Research and Innovation, and Psychology Club/Psi Chi and Science Club are pleased to host the Student Research Symposium event which will showcase student research across the disciplines at TAMUCT.
Who: Current TAMUCT undergraduate and graduate students who have engaged in research or scholarly activity under faculty supervision. Research does not need to be complete prior to the symposium, but should be a project that is well under way.
What: Students will present their research in a 5 minute “elevator pitch”. Students will share their work with the audience in four slides: 1. Project title, student and advisor names. 2. What was your research question? 3. What did you do? 4. What did you learn?
Where: Bernie Beck Lecture Hall, 1st Floor Founders Hall
When: Friday, December 6th from 1pm –4pm
Why: To provide opportunities for students to share their research with the campus community, encourage dialogue across disciplines, and promote participation in student research.
How: Submit an abstract today! Students should submit an abstract no longer than 200 words and some basic information. Submissions are due by Wednesday, November 6 at midnight.
We hope to have representation from a broad range of disciplines to showcase all of the amazing things our students are doing. If you do not have students ready to submit, please be sure to attend the event and support the students who are presenting.
We are also looking for faculty volunteers for the day of the event! Presenters often request feedback on their presentation. Faculty planning to attend the event and willing to provide presenters with feedback, please contact [email protected] .
