Welcome to the Department of Social Sciences where we offer a unique approach to understanding our society and human nature. We study issues from various viewpoints, building a broad base of knowledge and skill.
Our programs provide undergraduate students with comprehensive education in Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Political Science, and Sociology . We also offer master’s degrees in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, and Public Administration.

Undergraduate
Our programs equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in their chosen career. We offer undergraduate programs in:
- Criminal Justice: Learn to understand and effectively influence the justice system.
- Sociology: Explore issues of social behavior and culture for a better understanding of the dynamics of society.
- Anthropology: Explore the human experience across time and space by investigating different cultures and the biological aspects of humanity.
- Political Science: Make a difference in public service and international relations by developing an understanding of political systems, governance, and policy making.

Students in our graduate programs develop the knowledge and skills to protect our nation’s critical infrastructure, prepare and respond to emergencies, manage security operations, and lead public organizations.
We offer master’s degrees in:
- Criminal Justice: Deep dive into criminology, victimology, leadership, ethics, race and ethnicity and more.
- Homeland Security: Study today’s most pressing national security issues, including terrorism, cybersecurity, homeland security, and emergency management.
- Public Administration: Learn how to manage public programs and policies that benefit society.
