The Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology program at A&M–Central Texas is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET. What is mechanical engineering technology?

The MET is a practical degree for students who want to apply engineering principles directly to products, equipment, production, and operations. Students with MET training apply practical knowledge and skills to problem solving.

Mechanical Engineering Technology emphasizes:

  • Application and implementation. A practical, hands-on approach.
  • Often centered on building, testing, and improving designs.
  • Emphasizes laboratory work and applied technical problem-solving.
