Naming Opportunities

Named giving opportunities may take a variety of forms, but among the most common are student scholarships, program and faculty support initiatives, naming of existing spaces, and capital projects. Such named giving opportunities provide a perpetual reminder of the generous commitment and lasting impact of our donors.

For donors considering a substantial gift and naming rights, our Foundation board and professional staff are available to discuss strategies to ensure the maximum impact from your gift.

Named Scholarships

Donations to non-endowed and endowed scholarships provide financial support for deserving students working toward achieving their educational goals. Named scholarships can be established honor or memorialize an individual, group, or family. Donors are able to work with representatives of the Foundation board and professional staff to establish desired eligibility criteria. Some restrictions on eligibility criteria apply.

Each year, A&M-Central Texas awards thousands of dollars as part of more than 40 scholarships funded by the Foundation and other sources. Find a list of available scholarships here, and apply for and track scholarships here.

Program and Faculty Support

Universities that recognize and support faculty through endowed chairs and professorships have the upper hand when it comes to recruiting and retaining top faculty members:

  • Endowed Chairs – An endowed chair is a coveted position that brings prestige and distinction to an academic discipline and provides faculty support for research and creative work. It offers opportunities for program growth and development and recognizes scholarly excellence. Endowed chair positions recognize the generosity of donors in perpetuity and serve as a valuable tool in recruiting and retaining outstanding faculty members. The minimum funding level for an endowed chair is $1 million.

  • Professorships – A professorship expands opportunities for exceptional faculty members by providing additional resources for teaching, research, and professional activities and development. Faculty members benefit from the coveted title, and students benefit from access to extraordinary professional development and interaction, insights, and leadership. The minimum funding level for a professorship is $100,000.

Named Spaces & Facilities

Opportunities to name a building, classroom, lab, or other campus space exists in many locations on campus. Individuals, businesses, or other organizations can make their mark on campus by naming a building, classroom, lab, or one of various other spaces available around campus. Contact a member of the Foundation board or professional staff for information on available spaces and facilities.
