About GTF Warrior Scholars Program

The GTF Warrior Scholars Program at A&M-Central Texas is designed to support a competitively selected group of early college high school graduates in their pursuit of a bachelor’s degree.
Providing opportunities for personal and professional development, the GTFWSP learning community will provide participants with an exceptional undergraduate experience as they prepare for the future.
Through partnerships with the University’s three colleges and various campus offices, the GTFWSP provides:

  • Financial and academic support
  • Social networking and peer mentoring opportunities
  • Guided career exploration
  • Leadership and team building training
  • Community engagement opportunities

Financial Benefits

The office of Student Financial Assistance will work with GTF Warrior Scholars to establish a financial plan to meet the cost of attendance through personalized aid packages based on both merit and need-based funding, with a goal of minimizing debt at the time of graduation.


Additionally, scholars will receive $2000 per year scholarship (up to three years maximum)

Eligibility

Participants in the GTFWSP must meet the following criteria:

  1. Graduate from a TEA-designated high school (ECHS)
  2. Enroll in coursework with Texas A&M University–Central Texas the Fall semester immediately following Spring graduation from ECHS. Note: Applicants who take a gap year/semester or who graduate early from ECHS will not be eligible.
  3. Meet university admission requirements prior to initial fall semester:
    • 30 academic hours
    • 2.0 GPA on 4.0 scale
  4. Be in good standing and eligible to return to previously attend institution(s)
  5. Be a Texas Resident or Non-resident with residency tuition waiver
  6. Maintain coursework to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in 3 years
  7. Maintain standards for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
  8. Participate in required program activities (annual academic calendar will be provided each Fall semester)
  9. Complete FAFSA by January 15th priority deadline (Continuing Participants Only)
