Center for Cybersecurity Innovation (CCI)

The CCI places A&M–Central Texas at the forefront of cybersecurity research, education, and training

Center for Cybersecurity Innovation

At A&M–Central Texas, CCI students will become the future business leaders, faculty, and security professionals needed to maintain the United States’ technological edge in cybersecurity.

About the CCI

Located in Founders Hall on the campus of A&M–Central Texas, the Cybersecurity Center for Innovation’s mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in cybersecurity research and cybersecurity-related education. Our work will strengthen the nation’s cyber systems against attack, and supports the goal of an A&M-Central Texas research park on our Central Texas campus.

CCI faculty come from diverse backgrounds in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, machine learning, software engineering, computer forensics, internet of things, cyber-physical systems, computer networking, integrated circuits, semiconductor manufacturing among others.

CCI has four major functions:

  1. Guide the respective cybersecurity research that can lead to cybersecurity copyrights trademarks, and patent/commercialization, when appropriate.
  2. Provide a network for future cybersecurity grants and contracts
  3. Support cybersecurity education programs
  4. Develop and introduce networking and computing, especially cybersecurity and artificial intelligence programming to under-served, minority student population of the Central Texas region
