Volunteer Income Tax Assistance
A&M–Central Texas will help you understand the tricky world of taxes. Eligible people can book an individual appointment.VITA Tax Assistance Program
The A&M-Central Texas Accounting and Finance Department is helping individuals navigate the tax laws by providing tax assistance. Anyone seeking help must be eligible for the VITA program. Appointments may be scheduled during the available times.
Eligibility Criteria
- Household income of $69,000 or less
- Individuals with disabilities
- Individuals with limited English proficiency
Tax Related Documents to Bring
- Photo ID
- Social Security card or ITIN card for you, your spouse, and all dependents
- Copy of last year’s tax return if possible
- W-2s, all 1099 forms, and all other tax-related documents for 2025
- 1095-A, B, or C health insurance coverage statement
- All 1098-E or T for education expenses
- Childcare provider name, address, phone number, and tax ID number
- Voided check if using direct deposit for refund
- Information for all deductions and credits
- For married filing jointly, both spouses must be present

- March 27, 4 – 8 p.m.
- March 28, 1 – 5 p.m.
- April 10, 4 – 8 p.m.
- April 11, 1 – 5 p.m.
