The A&M–Central Texas Applied Data Analytics Certificate delivers C-level and managerial-level exposure to data management, analysis and vizualization, working with live data sets from large Central Texas businesses. If you want to take your professional development even further, the hours completed to earn the Applied Data Analytics certificate apply toward a business master’s degree.

Who Should Take This Certificate Program?

The graduate certificate in Data Analytics is intended for non‐degree seeking students. The certificate provides professional expertise in data analytics to those learners who are not a part of a formalized program of study but want to learn more about a topic. It is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed for data management, data analytics and data visualization.

The 12‐hour graduate certificate in Applied Data Analytics helps business managers and executives turn data into knowledge. The graduate certificate emphasizes the tools and industry standards that generate useful business intelligence from reams of data, including:

  • Fundamental concepts and principles of data analytics and their role in supporting and enhancing organizational decision making and predictions
  • Trends, challenges, analytic methods, tools, and strategies for data analytics and data management, including data privacy and ethics
  • Using data analytics to solve marketing and management problems
  • Turning real-world datasets into data visualizations, using software such as Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio and others
  • Social media data acquisition and analysis, social network representation and visualization, network cohesion, homophily, affiliation network, clustering, and social influencer identification.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition and fees for the undergraduate and graduate certificates are based on the number of credit hours taken per semester, and are approved for federal Title IV financial assistance.

Installment Payment Plan options

A&M–Central Texas offers an Installment Payment Plan each semester to help you with paying for current-term balances. The IPP breaks your tuition and fees into four (for Fall and Spring semesters) or three (Summer semester) payments due throughout the semester, with a one-time, non-refundable service fee of $20 and the first installment due on the first day of class.
