Why choose A&M–Central Texas?
As a member of the Texas A&M University System, academic standards and student success are the guiding principles of A&M–Central Texas.
- Transfer focused by design. Every undergraduate student arrives with previous college credit, making transfer planning central to the university’s mission.
- Practice connected to real schools. Regional partnerships support field experiences, clinical teaching, and a yearlong residency sequence.
- Guidance through a complex process. Education advisors help students understand prerequisites, block sequencing, EPP admission, and certification requirements.
- Graduate flexibility. The M.Ed. is delivered online and offers multiple options for educators and professionals with different goals.
- Instruction grounded in evidence. Both degree levels emphasize assessment, research, instructional planning, technology, and effective practice.
- A supportive place to become the educator you want to be. Faculty bring professional experience and a commitment to student success.
Interested in dual-credit or college teaching?
Selected M.Ed. pathways allow students to complete 18 advisor-approved graduate hours in a content area, which may help meet faculty credential requirements for some dual-credit or undergraduate teaching positions. Hiring institutions establish their own qualification requirements. Prospective students should confirm that the planned content area meets the expectations of the schools or colleges where they will teach.
