Professor Jody Fry Honored as 2018-2019 TAMUS Regents Professor

Killeen, Texas – The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents and Texas A&M University-Central Texas honored Dr. Jody Fry, College of Business Administration Professor, as the recipient of the 2018-2019 Regents Professor Award, the most prestigious designation from the System Board of Regents.

“These awards recognize and honor the exemplary accomplishments and contributions of our faculty, extension or research professional,” said Elaine Mendoza, Chairman of The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents.

Pandemic protocols prevented an in-person celebration of this award until this year, but now that restrictions have eased slightly, A&M-Central Texas leadership is hosting an intimate event to celebrate Dr. Fry’s many achievements on Tuesday, May 18, from 4-5 p.m.

For his part, Dr. Jody Fry, A&M-Central Texas College of Business Administration Professor, happily acknowledges that the award and the event are evidence of the support he has experienced among his many colleagues, University leadership, and the community.

"This is not about me, but rather a testimony to the great encouragement I've received for my work over the last 23 years,” said Fry.

“No other university I know of would have supported my work on spiritual leadership like A&M-Central Texas has,” he added.

“I’m blessed to work for an institution with the support and friendship of awesome colleagues.”

Dr. Fry is a renowned scholar in the area of personal and organizational transformation through spiritual leadership. His seminal work “Toward a Theory of Spiritual Leadership” has been cited in more than 2,500 articles. He has published two books and over 35 peer-reviewed publications while maintaining a full teaching load and being active in other areas of university service. Dr. Fry is an exceptional teacher, and our students consider his classes to be personally and professionally transformational.

The A&M-Central Texas College of Business Administration offers 10 undergraduate degrees and four graduate degrees, including a graduate degree in One Planet Leadership in collaboration with the sustainability leaders around the globe.
