Tenured graduate faculty member at TAMUCT since 2014, Bobbie Eddins serves as associate professor in educational leadership. A former campus leader and teacher in both public and private pk-12 schools, she holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Baylor University. She has extensive experience in the development, implementation, and assessment of pre-service and in-service programs for educational leaders. TAMUCT has been her professional home for thirteen years, nine of which she coordinated the university’s school leadership programs. In this leadership role, she facilitated the development of and state approval for principal and superintendent certification programs separate from Tarleton State University. Dr. Eddins has worked closely with program faculty and school district partners to move programs to a more market-driven online delivery format through the use of students’ current professional settings as laboratories for more relevant learning. She previously served as executive director of the Texas Principals Leadership Initiative and director of professional services at the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals. Recent publications and presentations focus on organizational culture, community collaboration, ethical decision making, and effective school leadership development.  She is currently engaged with educational leadership faculty members from several A&M system institutions in a multi-year statewide research study of school district leadership succession planning practices.
