Welcome to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges Initial Accreditation Web site for Texas A&M University-Central Texas. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges is the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the Southern states. It serves as the common denominator of shared values and practices among the diverse institutions in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Latin America and other international sites approved by the Commission on Colleges that award associate, baccalaureate, master's, or doctoral degrees. The Commission also accepts applications from other international institutions of higher education.
We have designed this site to provide information, access, updates, and the opportunity to provide input during the accreditation process. This Web site was developed as part of A&M-Central Texas' review by the The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges review for initial accreditation.
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACS/COC) announced June 20, 2013 that Texas A&M University-Central Texas has officially been awarded "accredited membership" status and is an accredited member of the COC, retroactive to January 1, 2013.
