These experiences have influenced\nhow I design and teach undergraduate courses—grounding concepts in\nreal-world applications and fostering student engagement through service\nlearning\, citizen science\, and ecological restoration projects. In this talk\, I’ll\nshare examples of how I’ve used campus monarch refuge gardens\,\nbiological control demonstrations\, and local biodiversity monitoring\nprojects to cultivate a sense of stewardship\, deepen content understanding\,\nand inspire students to connect science with civic action.
