The mission of the Department of Academic Advising is to support student success by proactively aiding students in the successful completion of their degree requirements. Through collaboration with other university offices, advisors promote admission, persistence and completion of the program of study. Advisors provide relevant academic information and recommendations related to department, university and higher education requirements and assist students in establishing and completing meaningful educational plans.
Prospective and Newly Accepted Students
Students who are interested in attending TAMUCT or who have been admitted for the upcoming semester should contact one of the following people.
Any remaining lower level (freshman and sophomore) courses must be taken at a community college (such as Austin Community College, Central Texas College, Temple College, or Texas State Technical College).
Social Work students need to contact Letitia Hooks at (254) 519-5406.
